How You Can Help

Donating

We need all clothing from underwear to coats and everything in between, with a particular need for men’s and boys’ clothes; there are more ladies’ items donated than anything else, and there can be a shortage of clothes for men.

All textiles and shoes, in whatever condition, can be sent for recycling and this raises money for the project.

For the Food side of the project we will need tinned food, packets, any non-perishables that are in date. We cannot use dented tins even if they have been bought that way.

We provide some small household items, from cutlery and plates to bedding and towels. Small electrical items (toasters, kettles etc.) are PAT tested and given out.

PATCH also needs finances for this project – for phone costs, paper, utilities, etc

Any regular donations or one-off donations will be gratefully received.

Volunteering

We need volunteers to help “on the front line” – helping clients find the items they need, making up food parcels as well as sorting all the donations we receive.
We need people who can give their time on a regular pattern as well as those that come when they can. All our front line volunteers will need an interview, a reference and a CRB check. This is because we often work with young and vulnerable volunteers. Volunteers will also be required to sign a confidentiality contract.
We also have volunteers in the background – our often-unsung heroes. We need people we can call on sometimes for collecting donations, maintenance work as well as administration.

 

We encourage potential volunteers to join us for a “taster day”. Please contact Tracy to arrange this.

We are desperate for:-

Monkton desperately needs;- cold meat, cold drinks, cereals and always in need of meat meals..

Milford desperately needs ;- Cold drinks, tinned veg, tinned spaghetti, noodles, custard,cold meat, fish and always needs meat meals.

Haverfordwest desperately need ;- Cereals, coffee, treats and meat meals

 

We also need; - kettles,toasters, mens T-shirts, Duvets, pillows,bedding and we have a waiting list for pots and pans.
