Basics Bank

We have set up a “Basics Bank” of non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries and small household items, donated by churches, and various other organisations or individuals, in order that when referred to us by various care workers. We provide for each individual’s needs when in an emergency situation. We work only on a referral basis, with those in need referred to us from outside agencies such as Health Workers, Support Agencies, Social Services, and the like; these agencies have Basics Bank vouchers to give to their clients who are in an emergency situation. People find themselves in financial crises for many reasons, some of which could be losing employment and waiting for benefits, homelessness or marriage breakdown.

Basics Bank - Milford Haven

       Our Head Quarters

Our head office, which opened June 2008. We are open every Wednesday and Thursday 10am until 2pm. Please feel free to visit during those times to see what we do.

Basics Bank - Monkton

Our second base opened in September 2010. We are open every Tuesday 10am - 2pm

Basics Bank - Haverfordwest

Our third base opened on PATCH's 3rd birthday 3rd June 2011. We are open here every Friday 10am - 2pm.

 

Christmas completed

In October 2010 We launched our first Christmas toy project - Christmas Completed. We received many excellent quality toys and gifts. Our 2011 Appeal was equally successful. We were able to give 4-5 really good age and gender appropriate gifts to over 320 children in our county. Again all of the families were referred to us so we know the need was genuine.
